It's spring time, dear friends!

161st Post :

It's spring time, dear friends!

Preoccupations kept me away from posting anything new in my blog for about 3 weeks. I'm indeed sorry, my dear friends. Now that I am a little relaxed, I feel, it's time to interact with you again and this time, with my favorite pictures. The winter time is over in Kolkata and the murcury has started to rise since the last few days. I am not saying that the heat is unbearable and there is no cool breeze around evening to bring some respite, yet the weather hints towards a hot summer. As per the schedule, spring should precede the summer and birds should chirp to welcome its arrival and thus in this posting, I am pleased to post some of my birds and folliage pictures - only for you.

Happy viewing.

Are ghosts real?

160th Post : Are ghosts real?

Are ghosts real? Do they really exist? Do they follow the same norms & rules that we do? Well, I really don't know. And I have no means to explore their world as well. Yet still, I love bringing them as my subjects in my Bengali poems/rhymes - nonsense or not-so-nonsense!

Ghosts have been a popular subject for ages, appearing in countless stories and fictions - from Bible to Macbeth, or from the classics to the bizarre ghost stories in the folklores. There are stories where they reign supreme and dictate upon us whatever they want to impose. The difficulty in investigating their existence or lifestyles is that there is not a single universally agreed upon defination of what a ghost is! How do they look, how they behave, where they live, what they eat or what about their children and families, who unfortunately  are the 'victims' of the exorcists? These are few of the questions about them that raise our eyebrows.

Well, let's not discuss about them much. May be they will dislike or disapprove whatever we say about them. And still better, let's peep straight into my archives that contain poems & pics about ghosts and their families & friends. And of course, about their lifestyles. This time, six poems penned down by me, where all illustrations are by the author.

Happy reading.
