The famous 'Terrakota' temples of Bishnupur, Antpur, Pandua, Malda and elsewhere in the state with their intricate designs or the great monuments scattered in almost every part of Bengal are architectural marvels and stand witness to the great civilizations during the ancient rulers of Bengal. The state's unique heritage of folk arts and music, its rural industries, its handicrafts, its people and its culture in general has distinct characters of their own and are something to be proud of.
